Event Clean-up

For smaller venues, volunteers and judges will clean up. If you have rented equipment, let your vendors know what time to pick up the equipment so that staff do not have to wait. If you rent tents, include installation and removal as part of the price. If a food vendor provides tables and chairs, have them include set-up and removal as part of the price.

Ensure you have arrangements for a dumpster or trash collection and a plan for removal. Restrooms must be provided, and porta-potties are often used at these events. Make sure these are positioned with the food tent and observation areas in mind, and that arrangements include a timely pick-up and removal from the event location.
