Introducing the Updated Bus Roadeo Toolkit

National RTAP updated its Bus Roadeo Toolkit, first published in 2014, with comprehensive new content, templates, checklists, forms, and marketing resources, supplemental materials, as well as a new training video with expanded content.  This online Toolkit was developed to help agencies and states plan and implement a bus roadeo.  This webinar will introduce the Toolkit's new features and resources.

Introducing the New National RTAP ELDT for Passenger Endorsement Training

The Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) for Passenger Endorsement eLearning course was developed by National RTAP to inform and prepare new drivers pursuing a commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement.  The course consists of six modules, covering critical topics such as operation and components, inspections, driver safety, highway safety and regulations, passenger management, and emergency procedures. This webinar will introduce the course. It is important to note that this course covers the theory portion of the required training for passenger endorsement, so new drivers are still required to complete the physical aspects of ELDT from a certified FMCSA trainer.

Learn About TACL: The Transportation Technical Assistance Coordination Library

The Transportation Technical Assistance Coordination Library (TACL) helps rural and tribal transit agencies access information about public transportation coordination, coordinate among federally funded programs, and share resources across agencies to improve transit in their communities. The session will instruct on how to use TACL, and include a Resource Feature on the National RTAP Best Practices Spotlight Article: Seamless Rides: A Practitioner’s Guide to DRT Data Standards and What They Mean for Your Agency.

The session instructed on how to use TACL, The Transportation Technical Assistance Coordination Library, and included a Resource Feature by the Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility Technical Assistance Center (CCAM-TAC) on its Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan Course.

"Shapes" connect the route path between your stops to the correct road in your General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) data. Shapes help visualize your bus network. In addition, National Transit Database (NTD) reporting requires shapes files for rural and tribal reporters beginning in Reporting Year (RY) 2026.
