National RTAP to Host Tribal Transit Workshop

National RTAP is hosting a comprehensive two-day Tribal Transit Workshop at the next Rocky Mountain Region Tribal Transportation Program Quarterly Meeting on February 11 and 12, 2020. The workshop will be held at the Bureau of Indian Affairs’ Rocky Mountain Regional Office in Billings, Montana, and will cover: writing and updating your Tribal Transit Plan, operations and maintenance, leadership and maintaining strong Tribal Council relationships, FTA program reporting requirements, developing a strong safety culture, Tribal Transit grant writing tips and tricks, and utilizing the National Transit Database (NTD) reporting tool.  If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to C. “John” Healy at  jhealy@ftbelknap.org (406-353-2447) or Neil Rodriguez at nrodriguez@nationalrtap.org (888-589-6821).
 
If you would like to have a one-on-one session during the workshop with FTA Region 8 staff, please use your name and that of your tribe to sign up for one of the 15-minute, 30-minute, or hour-long meeting times with Ms. Eboni Younger-Riehl, FTA Region 8 via the Doodle poll at:
https://doodle.com/poll/73dg6yg94q4r6ys x  During your meeting, Ms. Younger-Riehl will report out to you on your program’s status, and answer any questions that you may have specific to your Tribal Transit system.
 
As there are only six time slots available over the course of the two-day Tribal Transit Workshop, meeting time reservation is first-come, first-served, so please sign up today.  Registration for these meeting times will close on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 5:00 PM MST.  If you have trouble accessing the Doodle poll online, you may email Ms. Eboni Younger-Riehl at
