WHAT IS DIAL A RIDE?

Dial A Ride is a Sage Stage service that provides door to door shared ride transportation that operates within 10 miles of Alturas. You can use Dial A Ride for all your transportation needs. You can visit a friend, to go to a movie, go shopping, and meet business, medical or education needs.  Alturas Dial A Ride provides service to any location within 10 miles of Alturas including Modoc Estates and Cal Pines.

WHO MAY USE DIAL A RIDE?

Alturas Dial A Ride provides local transportation service to all Alturas area residents.  Rides are scheduled on a first come first served basis. However, priority is given to trips to healthcare appointments and subscription service rides which are scheduled in advance.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

*Call our office for advanced reservations 530-233-6410 during business hours 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday, or for same day service call 530-233-2883

*Please call to cancel your reservation at least one hour in advance or your fare is due.

*Travel is scheduled first-come, first-served.

*Routes vary by rider demand, weather and road conditions.

*Always allow extra time; bus may be early or late by 15 minutes.

*Dial-A-Ride vehicle based in Alturas; scheduling depends on your trip origin and destination.

Riders must cancel at least 1 hour before any scheduled trip or fare is due and payable.

Priority given for trips to health care appointments and reservations when scheduled at least one (1) day in advance.

Subscription service is available - for recurring or routine trips to/from work, school or wherever.

Sorry, we don’t operate on these holidays: New Year’s, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
