Welcome to the Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP). RTAP is a training, technical assistance and outreach program funded by the Federal Transit Administration. Since 1987 RTAP has developed and distributed FREE training materials, provided technical assistance and conducted research with the goal of improved mobility for the millions of Americans living in communities with populations under 50,000.
RTAP is your connection to transit resources, training and technical assistance. This website will provide you with information on the state and national programs as well products and services to assist you to maintain and improve your local transit system.
